Description: The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program hosted a free workshop on the basics of cemetery conservation, featuring instruction by Jonathan Appell of Atlas Preservation. The workshop
addressed common concerns in preservation and maintenance of cemeteries and offered hands-on training. Attendees participated in cleaning, leveling, and straightening gravestones and making basic repairs.
Outcome: Several headstones were cleaned, and three were reset or repaired, including the large stone for Regina Toombs.
